If it is like most Fords, the rev limiter comes on at 6250, on an 8 cylinder. You will not reach "Redline" before that rpm. Even if it is a 6 or a 4 cylinder, the redline won't matter. You will bump the limiter well before damage will be done to the engine.The Duck

on the fords its at 4500 depending on the year is when it starts to push it and then at 6000 you are in the red line
