About how long would it take to start having side effects once you change birth control? My friend changed B/C pills 24 days ago.. the last 5 days she has been very nauseated, her back has been hurting and she has been very tired. She did not use a back up method of B/C when she changed, do you think this could be from the change? Or a possibility of pregnancy? I personally think the side effects would be right away.. not nearly a month later..... Thanks!

The nurse who prescribed me b.c. said side effects should last up to 3 months with a new prescription. Although, if she hasn't been using protection, and the new prescription isn't the same dose of hormones, there may be a chance of pregnancy, so ept it.

Have her talk to her doctor about it. Like above, the effects could last a while. You could always play safe and get a test, or just call up the doctors office if you are very concerned about it.
