Refurbished cellphone?

i got a deal on cingular a 40 dollar refurb i understand what a refurb is but does it look new when you get it do the phones look brandnew or do they have minor scratches and stuff.

Refurbished electronic phones are usually just like new, except they may not come in original packaging. Someone has previously used the phone and the manufacturer has (usually) replaced the outside casing to make it look new and retested the electronic components.

Mine is a refurbished Nokia, and it looks like it just came out of the box.
