of course i would gladly say merry x mas back to you a hundred times more. Christmas is a wonderful period and if someone wishes me a merry one i mean, why would i get offended i would be over the moon just like i am right now. you wished me a merry Christmas and am greatful.

Nope I would just say it right back to you! It also goes if you would say Happy Holidays, I wouldn't get offended, I would just say that to you! So, say Merry Christmas and if it upsets someone, oh well, you cant make everyone happy in this country.

I wouldn't say "Merry Xmas" because it is taking out the "christ" in Christmas.

if you said merry xmas i wouldnt be offended but most people only use use xmas cause they cant be bothered to write christmas i have never heard anybody say merry xmas

I don't think too many people would SAY 'Merry Xmas' but at least it's better than hearing 'Will your severe bout of thrush be cleared up for Xmas?'. (Or something like that)
