Dear Dr. Pepper: I would pick an upscale eatery. One with Ambiance , and that sets a romantic mood, nice view helps, after dark of course, nice romantic music, good service, low lighting or candles are even better and of course someplace that caters to the type of food your proposal date prefers.....Have to have a great decor, flowers delivered to your table would be a special touch...just think romantic...to set the mood...not a real noisy place, but more out of the way....a special place.....now do your homework and best of luck.

Propose at an airport. My ex-fiance (never mind that) proposed to me when you could still go all the way to the gate without a ticket and watched the planes take off. He said he wanted our relationship to go to higher heights. Then he dropped on his knee and gave me a ring in front of everyone at the gate! Nice. He was also in aviation school, but it was still unique!!

well doc, if you are going to do it in a restaurant, do it in a upper class restaurant. every city nowadays has at least one or two high class restaurants. Where I live is a small city, but we have seven, major upscale places. Try doing it in a park that is decorated with Xmas decorations. my city has a huge candy cane walkway in the park.

My fiance took me to Bonefish Grill the night he proposed. He originally wanted to go someplace really nice, but I ruined his plans and said I wanted Bonefish which is more casual. It was memorable anyways - who cares where you went!? As long as you love the food and enjoy the atmosphere - you'll always remember it fondly.
