This is a serious question. f Man Made Global Warming is Real why did the last ice age end 12,000 years ago? did the Wooly Mammoths and Sabre tooth tigers live too large and drive SUV, private jets and live in MCMansions? Mans involvement wasent an issue at the time. And also how did the dinosaurs cause global cooling without mans involvement?

I think we may be headed for another Little Ice Age.

The thing you have to understand is that in our known history of the polar ice caps they have been around for millions of years and even during "warm" times after ice ages they didnt totaly melt. But this time global warming could remove them from the game entirely and they may never come back for all we know. We KNOW that there is more Co2 in the air because of MAN and that it traps heat in... Its a known fact. Now the question is how much of an effect does it have and what else could be causeing the earth to warm up so fast... For all we know the EM feilds generators make and more earth quakes in the seas could be a greater factor for causeing global warming. We really dont know about thouse things that much. But WE know that slowing our Co2 pollution will have some effect on the enviroment probably causeing it to heat up less faster. Thats not to say that cutting Co2 will solve the problem but it should help it. If we sit and argue till our face turns blue and dont act then that will get us into trouble but it is true we must act wisely. I have suggested that we build a satalite that can block some of the suns rays out by moving closer to the sun. While this idea is risky and has some power control issues I believe it might be a doable solution that will be able to "fix" the problem in a shorter time span. Cause the problem with cutting back Co2 emissions is the fact that it takes Years upon years for them to get into the upper levels and start working its thing. That means that our pollution of yesterday will be the pollution of tomorrow basicaly.

CO2 is 30% higher than it has been for 650,000 years. Methane is 130% greater. These are two of the main pollutants humans put into the atmosphere in excess, and they are two of the primary greenhouse gases.

Look at the 'hockeystick', which shows a dramatic warming since 1950 after a fairly stable climate for 1000 years. In fact, the 10 hottest years in recorded history have all happened since 1990, with 2005 being the hottest.

How's that for proof of man's fault in this? There is ample proof, any real scientist will tell you that.

There has NEVER been an article doubting man's influence on global warming published in a peer-reviewed journal. A recent study of almost 1000 proved that.

Yes, the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is unprecedented in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it. This is not some political statement or rhetoric. This is science trying to educate a crass, ignorant public of the damage they are doing. The magnitude of temperature increase ALREADY is about 10x that of the 'little ice age' of the middle ages, and rate and amount are only going up.

Just to be clear, glacial and interglacial cycles are mainly controlled by astronomical fluctuations, but we have a detailed record of the last 7 cycles, and what the climate and CO2 is doing now is way different and extreme. The rate of increase is much higher than in the past AND the value itself is much higher.

Because the man made warming is in addition to the natural warming. So it will get warmer than it otherwise would have.

Very good question. I also wonder how it is the Vikings were able to farm in Greenland 1000 years ago and now it's too to do that now. If it was warmer then than it is now why was it. Did the Vikings have SUV's.
