Hello.

I've just started weight lifting. I worked on my biceps and abs. It's been a few days and they still hurt a bit but not as bad as they did the day after and the day after that.

Is this ok? Will it keep hurting after future lifting?

That's normal, just lactic acid that has been released into your muscle. Drink lot and lots of water, till you pee clear

Your muscles have developed small micro tears due to lifting. The soreness you're feeling is called DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) this will occur usually anywhere from 24-72 hours after a hard workout or lifting for the first time.Your muscles will adapt soon enough if you lift consistently.

you just started so this is the worst hurting time. i took 3 months off with lifting and im having that again. its been three days and my legs still hurt from squats. Just gotta bear with it for now and worth through it. once ur body gets in lifting shape ull be better for the rest of the time

yes, it hurts because you are actually causing damage to the muscles, and the build comes from the repair of the muscles.
When it seems to stop hurting, increase your load and it will start all over again, but your muscles will be bigger. "get it" Drink lots of water, and eat more bananas. Keep a balanced diet, increase your protein intake. should be fine.

If you have just started weight lifting.. yea it will hurt it's only natural that your muscles have started a new routine .... and needs time to get accustomed to the exercise .. if continued it will hurt less and less but don't push yourself too hard to strain them. good luck

I've stayed sore for days after an intense workout. Try some potassium, and be sure to hydrate well.

That's normal, just lactic acid that has been released into your muscle. Keep working our every other day and they will be back to normal next week.
