Could be a sinus infection or just sinus irritation. Could also be a scratched cornea which needs medical attention. I'd have it checked out by a doctor ASAP. In the meantime, you could try bathing it with a boric acid solution or some other eyewash to soothe it: ask your pharmacist what she recommends.

Sounds like a sinus infection... you can make a rice sock.... dry uncooked rice in a sock tie it shut so the rice don't come out, microwave the sock for 20 to 40 seconds...be careful it don't get too hot, lie back and put the sock over your eyes.... your eyes ears nose and throat are all connected, this will help your sinus/ be able to drain better and is also soothing to the sore eyes. if you have taken benedryl before, it wouldn't hurt to take it, as it will help dry up the sinus'... (disclaimer... i am not a doctor, this is something i have done that helps me. if there is any possibility that you are allergic to benedryl... don't take it. it is always best to check with the doctor before taking any medications. usually doctors have an on call doctor, call, and ask that doctor for suggestions.)

You may also have conjunctivitis which is a infection of the eye. It's easy to cure once you have the correct medication for it. You may want to call a pharmacist (at a near by drug store) and see if there are any over-the-counter medications you can take in the mean time to make you more comfortable.

Get some liquid tears drops and keep the eye wet. I would also go to emergency and have someone look at the eye just to be on the safe side.

Is the pain in your eye pressure? do you have pain or pressure when you press on your sinuses? If so I would say sinus infection. To alleviate the pressure I would take a decongestant like sudafed. Be sure to go to the doctor.

But you can phone the doctor - someone is always on call. It's probably minor. It sounds like flu and sinusitis. But call the doc on call just to be sure.

sounds like you have pink eye.
maybe the eye problem has nothing to do with the flu.
