okay this is the deal, i'm married with a daughter but my husband has been gone for a yr for personal reasons, and i just found out my ex is in jail and i haven't heard from him in a long time he was like my first love and i want to write him to see how he is, but if my husband finds out he'll be upset. but then what are the chances he finds out and it's just a letter, what should i do?

Why has your husband been gone a year ?? Personal reasons or not, he should be with you and his daughter !! If it was me l would just write a short note to the ex, saying hello and wishing him well but also explain that you are married and have no intentions of seeing him. Guys in jail like to recieve mail so just as long as you let him know from the start that there is nothing in it, just being friendly, there should not be a problem.

The question is...why trying to hide it from your husband?It would be better if you're upfront about it and just tell him that you wanted to know how he was doing and nothing else,If he get upset then that goes to show that he doesn't trust you and that he is not mature enough to comprehend situations like that.You mention of him being gone for a year?i hope he's done a lot of soul searching and contemplated a lot about issuesin his life.I truly believe that trust and honesty is the way to go in life..goodluck!

Forget the ex(I assume boyfriend) he is nothing but trouble. Why would you want to bring a jailbird into your life? This is disrespectful to your husband, and you know it otherwise you would not be trying to sneak it past your husband. You need to start living with your husband again, you two have been apart far too long.

Do not satisfy your curiosity about your ex. It is enough to know he is in jail and not the best person to have in your or your daughter's life. Write to your husband instead!

Your ex is an "ex" for a reason; if I were you, I would keep it this way. Why risk your family's future? What's the point?

(If it wasn "just a letter", you wouldn't feel such urge to write it. Clearly, it's not "just a letter" to you if you considering putting your husband's trust on the line for it.)

forget about your ex. he's in JAIL!. he's prolly there for a good reason to. best not to get involved with that. especially with a family. if you dont just drop him out of self respect, drop him for the respect and SAFETY of your husband and daughter. sounds like you need to start thinking more about your loving family instead of yourself. there's always a bigger picture than what you see, and there's always consequences for every choice you make. i hope you make the right one.

if you don't put a return address on your letter than your old boyfrind can't write you back and your husband would never find out. But if you did that, then how would the boyfriend tell you how he was doing?

Dont be dumb. Your ex is in jail. Why would you want to bring a jailbird back into your life. Apparently he has issues. There are tons of men in the world. For better or worse....richer..poorer. Man people just dont get it do they?
