LOL! thats called "child support" which is much (MUCH) different then "child trust fund". you could be getting married, in college or what ever and she is still owed it; no matter how old you are.
sorry, its not yours.
maybe you should be nice to her, instead of bad mouthing her.

It is child support, money for the support of the child. Unless you bought all your clothes, raised or purchased all of your food, paid all of your tuition and school expenses, paid for all of your own school lunches and never went anywhere that required asking your mother for money (movies, birthday parties, shopping with friends, pizza parties) then your mother is entitled to the money. If your mother received state aid while you were growing up then chances are the state will get a large part of the money.
It may be a moot point, if your dad didn't pay before what makes you think he is going to pay now??

It goes to your mother because she supported you all along without any help from your father. Child support is just that, money to support the child, not money for the child to spend. Think about how much it costs to raise a child. You have to have a roof over your head, food, water, heat, clothes, doctors, dentists, school clothes, school supplies, money for you to spend, birthdays, haircuts, etc...... It isn't cheap sweetie! So you dad owes your mother and she should contact child support enforcement in your state and get what is due to her and you. Be thankful that your mother took good care of you all these years.

In my state, if your over 18, you can take him to court for child support. If your under 18, your mom can take him for non payment and get his butt thrown in jail.
14. What happens with child support that was not paid while I was a child attending school?
Answer: While the child is between the ages of 18 and 21 any money collected for unpaid support that accrued while the child was a child attending school will be paid to the child. When the child reaches the age of 21 any unpaid support for that child will revert back to the Obligee.

Ahh! Right your mother! MY father never really paid child support, but since I ma over 18 now I could take him to court to get all the money he owes me! But he doesnt owe me, he owes my mother all that money that she had to front out thro out the years she paid for everything for me, Like Clothes, School, Housing, Food, Personal products and so on, I never include presents cuz those really did come from mom! I will never take my dad to court for money he owes in child support! Your mother desrves that money no matter what! Rather is current child support or back child support! She gets it all....

it would go to your mom even if he paid it on your 18th birthday.. now if she chooses to give it to you for college than thank your lucky stars for what a great mom you have..and maybe thank your dad for finally doing the right thing by you.. my ex husband who had a daughter by is ex gf did not start paying until the child was 17 ...3 months before she turn 18 all he had to pay in back child support was 5000 dollars and that was to the state because her grandmother had her and neither parent was paying..i can tell you how some men view child support as not going to the child but to their ex's .. it dont make it right I know

It goes to your mom. It is his portion of the cost of raising you. It's kinda like a reimbursement. Some states though are changing this and if the child is over 21 or 25 then the child could receive it.
