its called keeping your options open. I still talk to my ex, partly because I know he wants me back. The guy I am seeing hates it, so I dont bring it up. But the truth is, even though I would never go back to him, I know that I have that option if it doesnt work out with this current guy. Not proud of it, but there it is

I don't reallt know how to answer that question. Because it good if the break-up wasn't bad, that way if you every need to talk that person is alway there. The cons if that person still have feel for you and that might think it an hope that you guy might get back together. And that mean, because i pretty if you are there friend you wouldn't want ti here someone like that

Its good to know that you are still communicating without any hard feelings.its nice to have ex as a good friend coz they know you better.So its easy to interact with them as you are familiar.
But see that past problems,comments,blame and shame doesnt come in the way of honest communication.
Keep your friendship healthy.
