Someone please explain why they say Clinton did nothing when his administration thwarted the attacks that were planned against the UN Headquarters, the FBI building, the Israeli embassy in Washington, the LA and Boston airports, the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, the George Washington Bridge, a plot against the US embassy in Albania, killing the Pope, and to blow up 12 US jets simultaneously. He tripled the counterterrorism budget for the FBI and doubled the funding overall, rolled up al Qaeda cells in more than twenty countries, created a top-level national security post to coordinate all federal counterterrism activity. After the embassy bombings, Clinton issued a presidential directive authorizing the assassination of Osama. Then after the attack on the USS Cole, Clinton put Richard Clarke in charge of coming up with a comprehensive plan to destroy al Qaeda, which was completed a couple weeks before Bush’s inauguration, which Bush obviously ignored. But they blame Clinton instead??

No Republican want to read anything, much less except that those were good years for our country and it will be that again.

Kobhar Towers
USS COle
1993 World Trade Center Attack
African bombings including Tanzania
Mogadishu Somalia

And Jamie Gorelik put up the wall. The FBI and CIA were not allowed to consult with each other or help each out.

The Balkans are still in turmoil and are not at peace. There is continuous attacks on both sides but on a smaller scale.

Clinton was a great politician, that is about it. Works well in D,C, and diplomatic circles, but does not hold water in the real world.

Heck, under Bush spending on education has exploded, but you never hear a peep from the teachers unions or any Dems. It is never enough for them. Washington is bizarro world and it works both ways (downplaying some and uplifting others)

Clinton lacked a spine and always tried to please too many. Leaders do not kow-tow and bend-over at every turn. Clinton never knew how to be a strong leader, regardless of what the spin-meisters say. He was not resolute and did nothing in the wake of the 1993 WTC bombing. He did not even visit the site even when he was just across the river in Jersey just days following the blast. What a resolute "leader."

QUIT PLAYING THE BLAME GAME!!!! Jeez.
The only reason, I think, Clinton is villified for doing nothing about terrorism, is because of the ONE time he turned down getting Osama Bin Laden in custody.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Republican and don't care much for Clinton. But its wrong to put the blame on him. Put it on everyone because NOONE did enough.

I am going to make this short and sweet.

It is beacuse the people that moslty say things like that do not take the time to really research what they are saying, unlike you.
People want to blame someone else for what is going on. And for people to go around saying that it is all the current president's falt would make them loose friends.

And I would really like to know who this "they" that is saying all this stuff... Sorry for that I needed a pick me up.

you forgot when he tripled his budget for counter terrorism he also single handedly destroyed our military. The brilliant tactician was covering up his Bj instead of apprehending the people behind the attacks you need to watch the history channel and get informed

Clinton did they right thing: Launch toe missles at them. The Republicans are not as smart as Clinton. So what do the Republicans do when their ignorance reaps it's rewards?
Blame Clinton.
Republicans have to blame somebody. Part of being ignorant is having the ability to ignore what you do wrong. It helps if you have a rich daddy that can bail you out. We all say George Sr. cry in shame of his son the worst President in American history.
It must be hard getting your son out of trouble when he is President.

He wanted the American taxpayers to enjoy the money for the Americans. American interests are the main solutions which is also true to all Presidents.

For your question, 300,000 Iraqis who are supporting U.S. democracy died when he pulled out the supports in Iraq.

It's natural, really. . .

All Bush supporters like to blame Clinton because they know that in a head to head race, even with all of Clinton's indescressions, he could still kick Georgie's @$$ in an election. And that really pisses them off. So they have to try and blame the Democrats for something they know that their guy really screwed up on. . .
