Tell her that mommy and daddy have decided not live together any more but that doesn't mean that we don't love you. Kids these day understand divorce I bet she has a lot of kids in her class that have divorce parents. You don't need to tell her the details of the divorce and the why.

Honesty is always the best policy. As a child of parents that hid crucial information from me, I advocate that parents always be honest and forthright with their kids. Kids are much more resilient than we give them credit for, and also much more understanding.

You need to be honest with her.seek help from others,family,school,ect if you feel you need help explaining this to her. But she needs to know.
