There are lots of things that can play havoc with your periods. If you aren't pregnant then something has given you what they call 'amenorrhea' (posh word for saying you're missing periods).
Have you been eating enough? Are you anaemic? Check the mucous membrane under your lower eyelid to see if it is a dark healthy pink or pale and washed-out-looking. You might just need more iron in your diet...
However, amenorrhea can be caused by other problems - you must go and ask your doctor again and make sure you detail ALL the symptoms you have, even if they seem unrelated.
If you're not getting the answer you want from your doctor, it might be worth going to your local GUM or STD clinic - they don't just check for STD's so they may be able to give you a more straight answer than the doctor as it's their speciality area. It's possible that you've got some kind of infection (not necessarily sexually transmitted - though be aware of that too) there, which will need to be dealt with sooner rather than later, probably with a short course of antibiotics.
Call NHS Direct (if you're in the UK anyway) on 0845 46 47 (very short number) and they'll talk through your symptoms briefly and get someone to call you back and give you advice. They're very useful as a professional first port of call, as you can often quote what they've said to help the doctor give you a better diagnosis.

HI hun, this happened to me i had my period at the beginning of july and never came back on again until the middle of october. With me trying for a baby it was very dissapointin cause i really thought i was pregnant i had sore breasts the same dragging sensation as i had with my first pregnancy feeling nausea and dizzy, swollen tummy etc and after getting four negative tests a blood test and numerous other test it showed i wasn't pregnant and there was no other underlying problems they could find.my G.P reakoned that because im trying for a baby then my body was reacting to this like a phantom pregnancy.(i have babies on the brain 24/7).Anyway my periods are back to normal now and i'v had no problems since(touchwood)so it maybe just that but go back and see your g.p your probably making it worse by stressing out.GOOD LUCK.

first of all - did you do the tests with your first morning urine? if so, then you should probably go to a local clinic (or your personal physician if you prefer) & ask for a blood test to determine pregnancy.
not having your period could be caused by many things - stress is definately a factor. however, if you're using the bathroom a lot & you're only 2 months along...well, let's just say, at two months a baby isn't big enough to push on your bladder. also, you shouldn't be having pains in your stomach.
i'm sure you're right, however, regarding the heartburn. perhaps you need to think about getting another dr. or at least a 2nd opinion.

Take the test in the morning. Go to the Doctor again if you are still concerned. You are well within your right to get a second opinion from another Doctor. Don't be scared to go back and make a nuisance of your self - it's what they get paid for!

I would try and see a gyno - I had this too and it turned out to be my cycles were chaning and also I had a kidney infection. It is possible that you are not always do tests show up but I do think that you need blood work done as it is more accurate - good luck

At home tests are not as accurate as blood tests. Get tested and see if you are pregnant. If you're not then you have a period problem to solve. Skipping months is really bad for your body, it causes cysts sometimes so fix the problem before it gets worse.

I sometime think that this is a Maternity/ Prenatal clinic, why do you think you are pregnant, First you must ask if you had unprotected sex and when, who with and then take your doctors advice and go back to see him, it seems that you maybe afraid that you are so I would presume you do not want to be, I sympathise with you but you can gt help.

i would see your gp again and tell him bout the proble again. they should dp a blood test for you and this will tell you if there is anything wrong with you elsewhere. if this fails go to your local a and e and explain and they will prob be able to help. could have a infection of something like that.pregnancy tests are quite reliable i think its 99.4% right. good luck hope your better soon
