It's the same old story with a different name. Very few differences.

Parliamentary systems tend to work largely based on custom and tradition unlike presidential systems that follow written rules.

A parliament government has to be "responsible" government. Meaning that if the governing party introduces a bill, and it fails, the government may be toppled because it no longer has the confidence of the House.
Presidential administrations can try to push through as many bills as they want and three quarters of them could fail, but the government will serve its term.

the length of the term is different. Presidential systems have predefined terms. (4 years in USA, 7 years in France, etc)
Parliamentary systems work on maximum. So a government can stay for up to 5 years.

In a parliamentary system, the Cabinet is made up of ministers that are also part of the legislative assembly.
In a presidential system, the Cabinet is called the Administration, and the president isn't limited to pick from elected officials.

those are some of the things that come up off the top of my mind...
Presidential: USA
Parliamentary: England, Canada,

France is mixed (they have a President and a Prime Minister)

let me know if there's anything specific you want to know

In the Parliamentary system, political parties have a lot more discipline in controlling their MPs (members of parliament). Whereas in the Presidential system, and the bi-cameral system (dividing powers between Congress and the President), there is alot less party discipline, members of Congress generally stride away from party objectives and are far more independent and are generally more keen on representing their constituent than pleasing the President. It's hard to say which is better, its a lot easier for the Prime Minister to pass a bill because there is a lot more party discipline, whereas the President, in relation to the Prime Minister, has less powers and has to rely more on coercion to get bills passed. It depends whatever floats your boat.

To me it's the same.

We have a President - You have a Prime Minister

We have a governing body that helps regulate what happens in our country - And so do you.

It's just a different name for the same thing.

The difference between our two governments is you have a socialist style of government, while we have a capitalist style. So you pay more in taxes then we do, to pay for more government programs.

Parliament. They are voted into office, not based on who gives them the most money to win the campaign. In America, you have to be white, male, and a billionaire to win the election.
