Hey Synyster,,

Don’t know that you can… Any parent’s who are so upset over their child being gay/bi that they kid their own child out of their house, obviously don’t love their child as they should.

As you point out, he sounds like a good kid, gets good grades, doesn’t get into trouble, etc.. they know that but still chose to reject their son. Which is the real crux here anyway, being rejected.(which your friend is really feeling right now!) You might try some educational materials for his parents to read, or invite them to a group of “parents of gay/bi children” or whatever the group name may happen to be. If you know any other gay/bi kids maybe their parent’s would be willing to talk with your friend’s parents? Are there some other family members of your friend who would be willing to intercede on his behalf with the parents ??

Main thing is your friend is really hurting right now, be his friend and listen to him, effectively communicate with him. Encourage him to get into counseling or any kind of help group that is available!!

you can't make his parents do anything. you need to help your friend find other housing

tell them that he is their own. and just because he is different doesn't mean they shouldn't love him anymore. after all he is their son. tell them how good of a person and student he is.

really nothing because if they don't accept him for who he is then you can't change that. just help him realize that life goes on and him help move on

LET HIM STAY WITH YOU FOR AS LONG AS HE NEEDS TO.
DON'T PUSH HIM TO GO BACK HOME TO SOON.
HIS PARENTS ARE STILL UP-SET.
MAYBE YOUR PARENTS CAN TALK TO HIS PARENTS.
