in the early sixties they were in some states of America a nickel in the slot then in others a dime then mid 60's a dime nearly everywhere. By the late of 69 some places where charging 15 cents, but most were 10 cents until the 70's then they officially changed in the north to 15 cents. California in some places were still a dime believe it or not?

In Washington State and Oregon the pay phones were a nickle. Then in the 1969 it went to a dime.

They were a dime, except for Louisiana, where they were only a nickel.
