I tend to go the movies by myself...is this strange? What do you think of people that go to the movies alone? Do you stare at them and think they are weird? I like going to the movies, but never have any friends that are available to go with me, when i want to go... so why should i just sit at home? Do you think its a good idea to go alone? thanks

I don't see anything wrong with going to the movies by yourself. When I was single, if I couldn't convince my friends to go out I wouldn't just let the day/night pass me by and sit at home bored. I often went out to the movies, for coffee, dinner at a decent restaurant, to a lounge, or even club a few times. It was actually fun most of the time because I met a few friends that way that were into the same things as me and willing to go to those places and I'm still friends with most of them today.

I have gone to the movies alone and many people do it too. I did it because I was bored and I really wanted to see that particular movie...so why wait...? There are many benefits of going alone..you don't have to answer your friend's question of "what did I miss...or what does that mean...huh I didn't get it" You can comfortably watch the movie on your own. Its like renting a DVD alone

No there ceartinly isnt anything wrong with goning to the movies alone, or going out to a resturant to eat by yourself. I went to the movie just the other day and there were quite a few people by themselves and i thought nothing of it.

People go to the movies alone all the time! It is more fun to go with somebody though, try calling up a girl friend or your Mom or sister or someone...you don't always have to go with a guy!

No, I don't think people are weird who go to the movies alone. I don't give it a second thought. I would go alone. That just means I can eat more popcorn!

do what you want to do. don't be paranoid about what others are thinking just do your thing and enjoy doing it. there are things that i prefer to do alone like hiking and fishing. it gives me time to think and let my mind go without distractions. i call it mental health time. and besides you probably enjoy the movie more with no one yapping in your ear.
