BRAIN DAMAGED.....Later,,, two years later...her husband still had the mentality of a child...I do not want to explain all the gory details....BUT, SHE HAS TWO CHILDREN TO CONSIDER....that is a big factor! she finally has CHOSEN TO LEAVE HIM AND PUT HIM IN AHOME...there is a lot more to the story...she knows it will be very DIFFICULT FOR HER AND THE CHILDREN....BUT HER OWN SANITY WAS IMPORTANT BESIDES THE CHILDREN....NOT BEING ABLE to except that, 'THAT IS THEIR FATHER"...i am sure you understand if you have been to a REHAB CENTER...really, I FELT she had NOT CHOICE, BUT TO PUT HIM IN A HOME...he needs additional care..HIS FAMILY BACKS HER UP RE: PUTTING HIM IN A HOME...BECAUSE THEY SAID..WE would not be able to deal with him...it is ok....NOW WHY DO PEOPLE CRITICIZE HER, WHEN THEY HAVE A NORMAL HUSBAND...AND HAVE NEVER WALKED IN HER SHOES???? I would just say to those..."IT IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN"..BY THE WAY , WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THIS HAPPENED?...THAT SHOULD SHUT THEM UP!!!

So was she cheating on her husband with you? I want to know that? If this is the case shame on you two. If you are a friend then stay out of it. Its her decission and support her in what ever she chooses..

I could only begin to imagine, I can say maybe it was like taking care of a baby again. And that he must not have had the sense to even be potty trained anymore, being an adult and wearing diapers that would be hard to handle. I don't think I could do it. I can sypathise with her, but I would have to say I'd have to be in that situation to see where I stood. I could hire a nurse to help, but I don't know if I'd put him in a home, it is true for better for worse, and through worse people sometimes give up. But that is the vow we take when we get married. But people shouldn't criticize her for the decision she made. If they have never walked in her shoes, they don't understand and never will. Good luck to your friend and her husband. Hopefully one day something may change in his situation.

this is a terrible situation that would take allot of time to consider all of the possibilities and ramifications of making a decision.

I wont criticize anyone here. I'm not sure there is a correct answer to this situation.

One question, is his condition permanent, God has performed many miracles, could she not try working with God?

My neighbor did not have the insides to conceive, but after years of prayer she had 2 kids with her husband from her womb.

miracles can and do happen.

That is f---ed up....she married for "BETTER OR WORSE"...this is worse...if the same happened to you....would you want her to throw you somewhere like a piece of trash??

It's like I don't have the time TO TAKE CARE OF YOU...but maybe those people can take care of you in that home.

We all walk in people's shoes everyday...we all know right from wrong..THIS IS WRONG....and don't justify it because she's your GIRLFRIEND...

hmmmmm, sounds like a case of abandonment to me.

abandon the person because they can no longer sustain themselves.

my biggest question is, was she your girlfriend before he got brain damage?

Your response is all there. It is no one else's concern. The kids will be fine. Be happy and treat her with love and respect, she will need it to counteract all the bad things people will whisper about things they know nothing about.

Why are you interjecting yourself IN SOMEONE ELSE'S BUSINESS in the first place....I have more to say...SHE WAS MARRIED WHEN YOU STARTED YOUR RELTAIONSHIP...I think I have some more....WHO ARE YOU TO DEAL WITH HER FAMILY, YOU CHEATING LOUSE...I think I'm almost done...THAT SHOULD ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.
