Yes and theoretical limiting values are -1 to <1/2 (practical values lie between 0.2 to 0.4). This can be shown as below :
Let Y, K, n and P be the Young's Modulus, Bulk modulus, Modulus of Rigidity and Poisson's Ratio, respectively.
Y = 3K (1 - 2P) [Standard formula]
Y = 2n (1 + P) [Standard formula]
Hence, 3K (1 - 2P) = 2n (1 + P)
Now K and n are always positive, so
i) If P be +ve, then RHS is always +ve. So LHS must also be +ve. Therefore, 2P < 1 or P <1/2
ii) If P be -ve, then LHS will always be +ve. Therefore, 1+P > 0 or P > -1
Thus the limiting values of Poisson's ratio are -1 < P < 1/2

I come directly to speak and chat approximately some thing and each little component soccer, yet this unavoidably finally finally leads to diverse diverse themes, which enormously situations isn't a foul difficulty, diverse situations that is unquestionably a waste of skill and key strokes i would not say I ever come directly to vent anger, I unquestionably like heated disussion enormously situations, i savor having sturdy comments and affirming what i think of of. the topic i come across is, that is completely few and much between those days, which you would be waiting to truly get a powerfuble debate going, optimum human beings unquestionably respond with an insult or a piss take. I additionally hate the reality incredibly some human beings hit upon it so complicated to be purpose, on an identical time as they are discussing themes. all persons love our communities, yet why does which could impact peoples skill to be sensible.

If you use .3 as an estimate each time you will be fine. This is done on materials that can not be tensile tested or the poission ratio can not be found.
