virus?????

Question

an icon came up in the right corner of a red circle with an "x" in it. then everyone couple seconds a message will come on that says my computer is infected. then next to it its "pest trap" and it scanned and i had like 158 some viruses, also after the scan it said i have spyware and to pay like 30 dollars to remove it! I cant get rid of those icons in my little tray, should i buy it or no?

Do not buy it, its a scam to get you to buy something that is worthless.
Your PC is infected with adware. Use these scans to remove it.

Sounds very much like your computer is infected with the Zlob Trojan. your computer has been hijacked by Pest Trap hacker application. this is a very dangerus hijacker now-a-days.

If your computer has been infected with Codec (such as; Perfect Codec, Super Codec, Gold Codec) and hijacked by the yourieprotect.com and so on , then your computer is in a real danger because it does transfer back and forth information from the infected computer which makes it a potential for data theft.

do u have any virus protection or not/
if u do than just use that to get rid of it, if not idk....i think u should get some virus protection
ex: norton or macafee
