Alcohol will most likely be toxic to the fish and kill him, I do not advise this. Leave alcohol to humans. If you want to comfort the betta just spend more time with him and make fishy lips, they seem to like that, at least my betta likes when I did it. lol Good luck with Mr.Betta!

I certainly don't foresee betta food harming goldfish and if they are so hungry that they are eating eachother, I'd suggest feeding them what ever you have available. Most fish foods are made of the same basic ingredients and vary only in texture, shape, etc. Betta food does have some extra ingredients sometimes to keep the fish brightly colored, but none of those ingredients would harm a goldfish. EDIT: As two other people have mentioned, if you've only not been feeding them a day or two, there's something else going on. How long have you had the fish together, how many are there, and what size aquarium are they in? Not enough room might be one explanation. Also, if you've had one alone for a while and then added another fish to the aquarium, the first fish, being used to having all the terrritory to him/herself may become hostile. Are any of the fish ill (or showing signs of being ill)? If so, you should seperate them. In any case, I'd say, make sure you watch them carefully, feed them whatever you have available (even if it's betta food), and seperate them so that they cannot continue harming eachother.

No i wouldn't if i was you. I believe this could do great damage to a fish
Just think back to when you had it yourself and how you felt that first time.
so just imagine how that poor fish is going to be after you give it some of your cocktail. I think you will end up with him floating on top of your tank .
May the Spirit Of Jesus fill you and your family with His Joy, peace and Love this Christmas and many years to come, May God bless you

It could easily kill him. Alcohol is basically poison, and to something as small as a fish, it can be fatal.

No one who loves a pet would give it alcohol. You are either trying to get a rise out of the readers of your question or you are mean and don't deserve the place you take up with your foolish question.

Grow up and reap your reward -- a serious answer to a serious question.

I'm pretty sure that would kill him. Animals metabolize alcohol differently.

it will die from the alcohol in the water even if it doesn't eat the pellet

probably not... i don't think fish metabolize alcohol... so it's probably just poisonous to them.

ps.. you might want to get help with your alcohol problem
