WDF is wrong with people these days. My friend, sixteen, was abused for a long time. I found out that his mom did drugs and his dad abused him. So we went to the police station, they blew us off. I reported annonomusly several times to social services, they NEVER did anything about it.

I'm afraid to let my friend go back at his house at a.ll. I've tried to talk to my parents, but they won't budge. I'm thinking his dad is paying somebody off, but I don't know what to do.

HELP!

And there is eveidence of abuse!! A lot of it -- he's showing most of the symptoms, and I even witnessed some!

You don't say what the evidence is. If there really is evidence of abuse, he should show it to someone at school. A teacher, principal, or guidance counselor. I doubt that his father is paying someone off, there are too many people involved (police, social service workers, teachers...) Since your friend is 16, it will not be long before he can live on his own. Suggest that he start saving his money so that he can afford to move into a small apartment when he turns 18.

I don't know. Maybe the report needs to come from him or from an adult. Maybe they aren't taking you seriously because, they think that you are just a trouble making teenager. I believe that you are not trying to cuase problems, but they might think that. Also how do you know that nothing is being done? These things sometimes take time. If there is drug use involved, there may be more serious charges that they are rtying to get the parents on and so they are just waiting for the right time to get them. It is good that you reported it though.

both Social amenities and the Police ought to comprehend of any plausible alleged abuse previously the CPS. The CPS ensure no matter if to prosecute. The Police act in the journey that they suspect a toddler is in chance of significant damage, as do Social amenities. toddler safe practices as a established difficulty is the precedence of each and every person operating with toddlers. Social workers have many powers and responsibilities lower than the toddlers Act as do different experts. The Police implement the regulation. The CPS prosecute. they does not turn down any case without finished consultation with the Police and Social amenities.

Social Services is a joke. They always step in when it's too late. They wont take anyone seriously. Thats why most of the kids that die from abuse die, is because of them!
Just keep your friend in touch with you. Run away if he has too. Do anything! I'm sorry I'm telling him to run away, but it could be worse.

Good Luck!

go to the school and tell a teacher... or the school counselor,... if he's paying someone off, there could be prision time... go directly to the school and talk to the principal,... then if they won't do anything, take him to the Emergency Room and tell a doctor there what's going on... they will call the dept of human services and have him removed from his parents care... but, you better hurry before it's too late...

Seriously what makes you think social services is any better they will see if any immediate family will take him if not they will put him in a foster home or shelter until they find one available. He is better of with someone that cares not someone that is pretending they care so they can make so good money.

Go directly through the district attorney's office. They'll take action and it will force the police and social services to step in.

Take pictures and document every occurance.
Also there should be a teen clinic that you can go to that won't tell the parent you guys went. If you take him there, they can also take pictures. Tell someone there and since doctors/nurses are mandated reporters they have to report it. If they don't ask them to.

social services are not stupid they can see when someone is being malicious and when someone is being abused (in most cases). you, are taking your 16yr old friends word for it. and to be honest maybe you should concentrate on yourself more rather than your friend.
