my last two serious boyfriends told me that people tell me I am beautiful just to be nice or for sympathy. Is this true and do you walk up to people (strangers) or go out of your way to tell a girl that she is beautiful to be nice to her or sympathetic?

what i am saying is that the way I look are a real problem, i do not understand I get the weirdest and a lot of times rudest comments from people for no reason.

No I dont...I think if someone even a friend out of no where just says your pretty or you look nice is meaningful...now if you ask for their opinion then they might white lie about it or if your sad and having a self esteem issue they might white lie but to just out of the blue say your beautiful makes me believe they mean it.

It's really not important whether you are beautiful to the majority or not. You ARE beautiful. Some will think you are and some will not. You can't be to the taste of all.
Be lovely, act lovely, think of beauty and appreciate beauty.

Your last two boyfriends sound like real jerks,sorry to be frank,but that was totally wrong of them to say.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,most people do not give compliments out of sympathy,beauty is not just about what you look like,its the way you carry yourself,the amount of inner strength you have,the way you reach out to others.And without even knowing you I can say that yes you are beautiful,God does not make junk!
