It is likely that you need to get your car aligned. It could also be your tie rods or struts.

Most likely it is the rotors which are part of your braking system. you will need to get them checked and see if they can be turned down or if you are beyond that. It's always a good idea to get your brake pads replaced as needed to prevent them from gouging out grooves in the rotors which can cost a lot of money to fix. If they aren't too bad they may be able to grind them down and replace your brake pads. maybe it's only one and not two or more. Just get it checked asap and don't do more damage by driving a lot with them this way. Go to a good garage that you trust and stay right there and watch them take the wheels off and check them. you will learn a lot by doing this. Even if they don't let you in the area, watch and ask questions. I'm a woman but I've always been that way. I learned a lot when I was on my own and didn't have a man around to look out for me. So, take care and do what you have to do. Call around and ask about the costs involved. Some smaller garages do the work cheaper. Good luck.

Most likely is the brake rotors are warped. This is caused by using the brakes too much. Heat is built up in the rotor causing the metal to disstort and cause a shake/ vibration when brakes are applied. This can cause weak braking and possible steering control can be more difficult to maintain. To repair this, a brake job will must be done, I recomend new rotors, the old rotors can be machined, but due to removing metal from the rotor they will warp easier and sooner, you will also need to replace the brake pads.

i own a repair shop, and you probably have some warped rotors on it,,they will do this if they have been hot ,,or are getting thin,,it may just be time to have them turned and new pads put on,,and they may be too thin to turn down,,in this case you might need new ones on it,but there not to expensive though, and easy to install also, you can do this and the pads and save some money but a shop doesn't charge that much to do the job,but id say that's whats causing this to happen,it common,,so its nothing to be real concerned about,,good luck,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

replace bad brake rotors and stop cramming the brakes all the time and you will never experience this problem again

I think that happens to all Fords, I have an Explorer and before it was fixed it did the same exact thing. Ford stands for "Fix Or Repair Daily".

for sure you have warped rotors, you can resurface them but my experience tells me it won't be long until your vibration is back. Save time and money by putting new on and be done with it for a couple years.
