Who agrees with me? who agrees with me? Wahhh, come on, are you so insecure and transparent that you need people to agree with you? Can you not speak for yourself? Next time someone tells you that their at home on the weekend with nothing to do that their bored, tell them to go out and drink. ( as per your maturity level ). I wouldn't say "partying it up" is the best definition for a "social life" I've had better socials in a coffee shop. Drinking is more of a tool when socializing no more than coffee is. If you don't want to socialize than by all means get hammered. Just don't expect much. What's boring about not drinking? I like water skiing, boating, hang gliding, rapelling, I play every conceivable North American Sport, some from abroad. And to top it off I wake up in the morning regenerated ready to do it all over again. As opposed to hangovers, sleeping in, wasting the day away in bed. Hell, I drank for 22 yrs hard core non-stop and I ain't got jack to show for it, except my kidneys are shot. My stomach pains are intense and consistent. I have the worst chest - pains. I've been in the hospital several times this year. Straight edge? What would classify yourself as? I'm curious. Social lives are virtually non-existent at drinking (to excess ) parties. You don't even know who the h**l you were talking to, what information you shared. And then there's the guessing game, What did I do last night? Did I leave on good merit? Did I get thrown out? Did I rip anyone off? When the phone rings is the caller gonna say he' gonna kill you and not give his name? Black out's are your worst enemy because there is no defence against it. It stands to reason that if you got a hangover keep it to yourself, it makes you sound like your looking for sympathy. Frankly I don't wanna hear it. I'm not a preacher in this department because that would just make me a hypocrite because I've been there. Jealousy has no merit in this conversation. Grow up.

I agree with you. However there are some here that don't understand your point. You like to have fun. Cheers to that.

Some of the responses are out of touch with what you're trying to say. I believe that sometimes you go out and have a blast and don't always wake up with a hang over, sometimes you do. Not a big deal, people need to get off their high horse and lighten up, and stop being judgemental.

Don't drink and drive, and if you've met some strange that night, wear a rain coat.

Anyone who thinks they have to be drinking or drunk to have fun doesn't have a clue what fun is. Not having control of yourself or being sick/hungover is not fun. If it is to you, then does the word "Loser" mean anything to you. If you like that - fine. Drinking responsibly is cool. Moderation is cool. Knowing where you are and who you are with is way cool. There is way more to life. If you weren't drunk all the time, maybe you would know this. I don't care what you do or how many of you do it. I'm cool enjoying the many fine things in my life.

i understand your point.however i'm an alcoholic and have suffered a lot because of the times i drank.evidently my problem developed it was not 3 or 4 "bad drinking nights".i only say if you are constantly hungover, have blackouts, spend more than you should, wake up where you shouldn't be,your friends start avoinding you:do something!
an occassional hangover is cool!if people can control their drinks and have fun YOU'RE RIGHT I DO ENVY YOU!
and i do not mock you.i just suffered so much that if there's someone that can avoid ending up like i did that is good!

I used to party hardy, but if you are having a lot of hangovers, you are a drunk not a social party animal. Still, tea totlers should not dog out the drinkers. I had to stop for health reason but do not begrudge anyone else having a few.

Umm dude, I am totally for you drinking and having a good time, but your comments kind of point to alcohol problems. If you can't party without alcohol then you have a problem. If you view a life without getting drunk as boring then you have a problem. If you are so defensive about your drinking then you have a problem.

Really, step back, reassess yourself and what is going on and go from there. Nip this in the bud before it turns to something nasty. I am not saying that you have to stop drinking but you may want to monitor the situation.

i imagine smoking has a bent to make you bypass off on tangents. you've gotten began smoking on you own decision, yet you nonetheless smoke, no longer because you savor it, yet because you may't end. you're addicted to the nicotine and also you're in denial. yet you've a precise to smoke each and each and every of the cigarettes you want and that i ought to care a lot less both way. in truth, do your self a double whammy and smoke and drink alcohol. in case you've been interior reach, i'd purchase you a shot and a lager to bypass with your nicotine stick. only blow the smoke any opposite direction. Well, I enjoy a drink, but I do not enjoy being drunk. I personally like to maintain control, and believe me a drunk has no control.

So, no I am not jealous. I have a lot of fun in my life, and no hangovers.
