Make the decision together as a couple...if one person isn't ready, both aren't ready. What are his reasons? Money? Responsibility? He wants to enjoy you alone a little longer?

Or, poke holes in all the condoms and go off birth control.

Either way...it isn't good to do it if both of you aren't ready. Nothing like having the first child be a endless resevour of resentment between you two.

Having a kid is a major decision for everybody, you should not be pushing your husband, maybe he is not quite ready to have a child. Let it happen when the right time comes around.

The only right way to "get" him is to talk to him and see what he thinks. If he has good reasons for not wanting the child quite yet, listen to him. It should be a mutual decision.

You will need to sit down and talk to him. If he is not ready yet, don't force the issue as he will just want to wait that much longer. You both need to be ready to be parents to be fair to the child. Try to ease his worries about it. But respect his feelings too.

I don't know why you'd want to. There is nothing worse than raising a kid with someone who wasn't sure they wanted one.

But, if you have any good reasons why it just can't wait, tell him so. Either he'll agree or he won't.

PLEASE! don't do it until he really wants to! it's a big mistake! i wish you had my phone number so i can tell you EVERYTHING about it!!!
You'll be the one who's always worried about the baby and he won't be there, he'll keep telling you : "it's your baby, i told you sooo many times i wasn't ready yet"
My kid means life to me, but wouldn't it be nicer for him to have his daddy emotionally closer to him???
(just imagine my situation and think about it)
