If it wont turn on, then you have a power problem, or a power supply problem. If you have already ruled out the cable, it is either the source or the internal power supply.

even as the printer replaced into new it does not were a situation, yet now that this is 17 some years previous the paper pickup/feed roller for the paper tray is probably properly worn, dirty and probably the rubber has hardened to the point it truly is gained't grab the heavy paper besides because it ought to have even as new. The printer comments a jam even as the paper doesn't attain paper route sensors even as that is anticipated to. It doesn't have the sofistication to understand if the paper left the tray or not so it comments a jam. you've 2 plausible ideas for your situation: a million) replace the former paper pickup/feed roller or 2) Use the guide paper feed slot (this is in elementary words a slot, no tray or some thing) interior the front of the printer placed only above the paper tray. this is not properly marked or elementary with techniques from a lot of human beings, although that is there, even suggested interior the service guide. The paper will favor to be fed into it face up. try elementary paper first previously your certificate. you could favor to go with the guide feed tray interior the print/printer houses once you print, yet i'm not confident about that as i have not worked with that style for decades and by no skill confident if I nonetheless have a consumer's guide everywhere, or it ought to favor to have a sheet put in there once you're waiting to print. best of luck.

You'll have to check the fuses on the DC Controller PCB. This involves unscrewing the bottom of the printer and carry fully separating it from the housing. It the fuses are blown then you can simply replace them. If not you could have a bad formatter, DC Controller, or Power Supply.

We've filled the dumpster with those things. They are unrepairable and slower than molasses in wintertime. Any repair would be more than the printer is worth and wouldn't last long.
