They are not truly your best friends if they are going to punish you for your morality. Best friends are best friends because they accept who you are and the way you feel about life and it's actions. They don't pick and choose things about you, they appreciate everything about you. If they can't accept your decision in not feeling sorry for these people that got punished for their stupidity then they are just not the real friends you thought they were. Talk it out with them and see if they can understand because you don't want to just give up on your friends like that. I'm sure they will understand and continue to talk to you. don't worry about it

Sometimes the truth hurts and when people, our best friends are not willing to side with us, even though we are wrong, it tends to hurt us. You should always stick up for those you love but; it's hard when they do wrong, I know. You could have left with them, and told them later when you were alone that you didn't agree with what they did. I don't know all the details but it sounds like you outed them in public. They may never talk to you again but; if your friendship is that strong maybe they just need some cool down time to think about what they did. If they never do talk to you again, why would you want to be friends with people who steal? You will find new friends.

Look for new friends. My feeling is your friends will also try to steal if they felt sorry for the other people.

Then they are not true friends, when they don't respect your opinion(s). You will find a best friend later in life, trust me. I met my true best friend when I was 24, almost 25, and I am now 32 years old. Just wait, you got your whole life ahead of you, dear!
(see my pic!! That is her and I, She is as dear to me as my children and my husband!)

I FEEL THE WAY YOU DO SO IF THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU FEEL ABOUT SOMEONE STEALING SO LET IT BE WHAT KIND OF FRIENDS IS THEM BECAUSE THAT IS STUPID. YOU DOING RIGHT WHY FEEL SORRY FOR SOME ELSE DOING WHEN THEY KNOW WHAT THEY IS DOING AND UNDERSTAND THE RULES OF THE PARK THAT THEY WAS IN.

they are not you're true friends, it's better to at least find out now
than later. your friends should respect your opinions and morals you have. and if they're logical they should know, you won't always see eye to eye. but i guess they are not mature yet!
