My x husband called me one day and said he loves me, always has loved me and always will. Now we have been divorced for over 30 years and I have re-married and he has re-married, but now he's divorced again. We do have 2 son's together, now grown men with families of their own. What do you think of this and why would he call me and tell me this?

He screwed up the second maggiage too and now he's lonely.
And you're probably the closest person he can think of. Don't even bother with him.
Tell him to get a life or a shrink to talk to if nobody wants him now.

Sounds like he is regretting your divorce and has always held feelings for you. You should think deeply about if you reciprocate those feelings or not and if you do, you should seek counsuling together to work out whatever issues caused your divorce in the first place.

Like you said, he is now divorced again. Some duded tend to re-visit old flames when they're single again.
If you're happily married, tell him you're flattered and all but that ship has sailed.

its because he need some one right now and the only one he can turn to right now is you but don't let him in you're life far as lovers again tell him its over and you will always have the good times to thank about and move on with you're new man don't let the devil creep in its just a test from god to see how strong you are pass the test and say goodbye to him and wish him luck

It sounds like he does not want to be alone in life , so just remember why the two of you divorced in the first place.

Personally, I think he has a problem with being alone. It is now much later in life, he is single again and afraid of starting over. He knows you (obviously from being married to you!) and he is seeing if there is anything there.
My advice, stay clear.

He misses you, and I beleive that he will always love you, you are the mother of his children and he will always have that love for you. My boyfriend has an X too and he did tell me that he is not in love with her but he will always have love for her b-cuz she is the mother of his child. So I think that maybe all these years have helped him realize that maybe he is still IN love with you, we all make mistakes, maybe he sees that his mistake was not working things out with you sooner!

He wants to get you in a possition to be feeling just as crappy as he is.. If he is on his second devorce there is obviously something wrong with him and not the people he is with.. I say let him see how happy you are with your new hubby and don't let him take that away and ruin it for you

Maybe he did realize what he lost a long time ago, and he's lonely. Maybe he sees that u are happy. I would try to avoid the sitution all together.
