I went for a cycle this morning. I had a shower when I came home. I can honestly say that if I had tried to take a bath while on my cycle, I would probably have fallen off. Her G-ma is obviously smokin the crack.

there are a lot of "old wife's tales" . . some old folks believed a man shouldn't sleep in the same bed as a woman on her period let alone have sex during that time . . all myths to me I also shower or bath daily no mater what else my body has going on.

My granny thinks me and my hubby stopped having sex 8 years ago when my son was born cause we told her we weren't having anymore children, she comes from a time when women didn't think sex was fun and if your not trying to have a baby that's not some thing you do.

Yes I did, from my grandma, not just that actually on top of the taking a bath thing you were not supposed to drink or eat any king of citrus (lemonade, orange juice, or eat and orange for example), also any king of cold drink, the idea was that by taking a bath or eating citrus your period could stop, and everything that one was supposed to "eliminated" could remain inside of your body causing future problems.
That theory is very old, my grandma knew it, but I think it's obsolete.

I have heard of it as well. Supposively the belief was that when you are on your cycle you are "exposed" internally and it was a way for possible diseases to attack. I mean really, dont you think a disease is more like to be there from lack of cleanliness?

I have heard of that too. I am not sure if that is a myth but i don't take baths when i am on my cycle, just showers. Keeps bacteria out and keeps your insides happy. I don't know but i heard of that too.

No, back then they couldn't bathe regularly because they were afraid of getting sick and dying, not because of a woman being on her cycle. Now, that's really unsanitary and could cause health problems.

My grandma used to tell me that too! She said to only take showers during that time so you don't get an infection.
