Every guy is different when it comes to figuring out whether or not they like you. I think that the most common way to tell is if they practically hang on your every word and randomly ask for your phone number. By random, I mean that if there is some silence between the two of you and he breaks the silence by asking for your number.

Why don't you ask your friends to ask his friends? Or, you could take note of all of his actions. Then look at each one closely, does it seems like he likes you?
