my husband does know how my friend feels and he also knows that i don't feel the same way. my friend knows this as well. i don't want another relationship..i want the one i am in to be good. i just don't understand why the one i love doesn't love me enough to be honest with me.

First you need to ask yourself, if the being told the truth is so important to you, why would you want to be married to a man who lies to you? A good relationship can only be good if both parties are committed to the idea.
On the other hand, why would you want to be with the good male friend who loves you and wants to take care of you if you aren't bringing the same feelings to the relationship.
How about just being by yourself for awhile until you find someone who you love and trust and feels the same for you. One-sided relationships never work, so I don't think you would be happy if you chose either man.

Let the lier go. And tell your friend that you don't love him like he loves you and you aint ready for a relationship. You need time. My ex husband lied all the time and still does but he thinks he is telling the truth. Never made any sense to me but it happens I guess. Is your husband a shame of what he did and you caught him at it? So lieing to you made him feel better. If you take him back put your foot down and tell him no more lies. I have a 11 year old that can't lie to me. I always tell her a lie you have to memorize the truth you do not. Never know when the same question will be asked again good luck hun

Men that lie do it b/c they are afraid of the strong women that they are with and they wanted strong women b/c they are so weak...give yourself a break...don't do anything but think about this....the new guy sounds great but not yet....you need to appreciate this different kind of love where you don't have to do all the work and be in charge....what a relief that would be uh?
Your husband left...lied....don't let him back in....change the locks...get a lawyer....he wants out ok he got out...he may beg...let him...see how he feels....he is just lying again with this grandstand leaving thing to see if you will fall for it again...take him back and he knows you are his toy forever...he wins...which makes you lose....can't both win when a liar is involved....no trust no marriage! Trust is the reason for marriage????!!!!

So you caught him in s lir, huh? And what is so important to lie about or what is so important to know about that it should break up a union? Seems like your wrangling to make this lie situation be the means to an end, and that is to shed your hubby for your "close male" friend. Your very wrong to compare that dude to your husband. You need to stay in your own pasture and help create that safe envionment for you, hubby and kids, if you have any.

Two wrongs don't make a right. You confiding in another man is cheating. Lie is not reserved just for the men either. I'm quite sure you told your husband how your close friend feels about you, right???
