it is safe if you download carefully, have a good spyware, antivirus and firewall on your system. It's illigal if your getting copywrited stuff. You can play anything in media player that you download (as long as media player can play the file type). You can double click on the file, or right click slect open with and pick media player... or you can drag the file into media player as well.

Hello,
I really like Limewire, I'm actually an avid user of it. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. you should get limewire too. It's a good peer to peer software if you have to download mp3, movies, videos or documents. Here you can find a good place where to download Limewire: http://j.mp/VMeqp3
Limewire is a safe and reliable program but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. You always have to be cautious about what you download.
Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.

Been using Limewire for months, no problems at all. It boots up faster than Kazaa, or any other music download program, has a bigger library, a better search engine and is just an overall better program. You can transfer limewire downloads to windows media player, i use media player to load my mp3.

Yes i have had no problems with it. It's great for music but individual songs only. But not for whole albums, you need bit torrent for that www.bittorrent.com . You can download videos with limewire too. And yes in most cases u can use windows media player unless its an unusual file type.

Limewire, Kazza, Bearshare & other peer-to-peer file sharing sites are HIGHLY illegal. Personally I don't have a problem with sharing a bit of software with your mates...

Also, be prepared to get: Viruses, backdoor trojans, malware, spyware, hacked etc as you NEED to leave certain ports on your PC open to allow the sharing. Smart, yet evil people can & will gain access to your PC & upload two tons of (sometimes hidden)crap in the background, dozens of viruses etc

You have been warned!!!

limewire is perfectly fine to use.
some search results are porn but it does not show anything unless you download the file.
i use lime wire and the movies i download do go to windows media player and all music i download goes to my i tunes.
I have never had any problem with limewire not having what i am searching for.
The only thing about it is that it is illegal.

Limeware really is illegal so you are taking your chances. It also can be dangerous because you may download a file with viruses so you shouldn't use it if you don't have an anti-virus program. When you download it, it will open up in media player if you already have it installed. It may also open up in real player.
