i have 2 options on my pc for sound(see above) and in your opinion which is the better
both come with sound managers and both are reasonable quality sound
and also how come i can have both the nforce sound and also the realtek ac97 as i was led to belive they are both intergrated audio,the mobo i use is the abit nf7-s
any ideas?

I used to have this exact board, I can tell you from experience that the Nforce sound manager is wayy better, but then again thats my opinion. NF7-s is an NForce board to start with, I would suggest using the sound manager thats meant for the board. AC'97 Codec is generic for almost all built in sound setup.

I may be confused with this question, but both sound managers can control it, but use the Nvidia manager because its made for your system. It does a good job.

So you know the 'integrated audio' thing is true, but NVidia Soundstorm is whats on your computer, it is integrated, but its miles ahead of the standard, or it was, that mobo is over 2 years old now.
