is there a proper way in doing this or do you just chuck it in the bin?

You can recycle them by sending them to certain charities who 'sell' them back to the companies who made them to be refilled. below is an example of one charity but there are many.

Places like Staples and Office Depot have bin where you can recycle the cartriges. By recycling them, you save the earth, and get $3 off (for each cartrige) your purchases. It's a win-win situation.

No don't bin it, lots of companies recycle ink cartridges, our work sends some cartridges to BIBIC for their charity, and others to a firm that pays for local scout group activities.

you could chuck them but this isnt V. good. there should be a printer recycle bin in places lilke staples or a school might do it

You should try looking for a stationery store(Staples, Kinko's, etc.) that takes ink cartridges and you could even get a discount on a new cartridge.

The environmentally correct thing to do is recycle. Check out your local mall. There should be a kiosk around to help you out.

See if there is a recycler in your area who may be willing to accept them. Otherwise simply throw them in the trash.

I buy mine off the internet and they give me five pounds for my old cartrides,plus a paid envelope to send them in,www.inkdeals.co.uk

check out www.inkagain.co.uk they recycle for several charities and you can choose which one you want to donate to. They also recycle laser carts. all freepost.

take them back to staples ,in a ziplock bag ,they will give you a $3 coupon for each one
