After watching the documentary film “Why We Fight” I think the answer would be Dwight Eisenhower. Why? Well, as the film so skillfully demonstrated, Eisenhower was the first, and to my knowledge the only President, who warned us of the inevitability of the government, the defense industry, and military having the tendency to act in collusion to manufacture war for the profit of all three institutions respectively – something he called “the military industrial complex”, instead of fighting for freedom and liberty. He made this clarion call shortly after our victory in World War II, when our military, our government, and our defense industry were hailed as heroes. His prediction about this trifecta was prescient when we look at what is going on today. It took courage to be such a moral force against the prevailing tide of capitalistic militarism. That to me demonstrates a resolute and impeccable character. It is these exact character traits that really haven’t been seen in to many Presidents since.

ronald reagen, gave us the star wars program which was ridducled by the libs but now they love it because it keeps us safe, ended the cold war without firing a shot even though certain senators (t. kennedy) was helping the kgb...an author dont remember his name, made the accusation, kennedy of course denied it but recent KGB documents released confirmed it, and gave us a strong economy which clinton helped destroy with tax raises....the dot com boom was a fluke.
