I went on Friday and bought Moet Champagne usually 29 got it for £17. Would try and get there asap as the other person said they will be selling out of the good wines etc, watch out for the wine deal though. You are still better off buying 2 bottles get third free deal.
This was one of the best marketing ploys I have heard for years, no way would a company like Threshers not have there Terms and Conditions water tight. I bet you a million dollars that the company taht owns them will sell it off next year. There turnover will have rocketed but margins will be down. Sneaky sneaky

Just been looking at the voucher - it can't be used with the "3 for 2" deal on wines and champagnes.
When I used to get my wine at threshers (student, don't judge me!) a typical bottle would be £5. So I think of it like this:
Either go for the 3 for 2 offer (£10 rather than £15)
Or the 40% off offer (£9 rather than £15).
There's barely anything in it. So these people who are going out 'having a field day' are probably saving a few quid at threshers, but if they looked at any other supermarket they'd find it a heck of a lot cheaper anyway.
Summary: Worth it if you only buy at threshers (but only just). Otherwise just a very good marketing ploy.

Used it and a lot of comments are right - like any 'deal' you have to do your homework... So Veuve Clicquot vintage with 40% comes in £2 cheaper than Majestic, but Montana White with the 40% comes in £3 more than Tesco's... All in all it's not a bad offer, it was never intented to go public and it's only 7% more discount than the 342, but choose wisely, use the £500 limit and save up to a 'real' £50 when compared to the best of the rest. Don't forget Threshers are struggling to stay afloat - this could be the last roll of the dice for the company...

Yes I did. Bought a lovely Villa Maria red for £9. You have to watch it as although the offer is genuine and accepted there are reports that stores are demanding 6 bottle min purchase or office orders only & other rubbish, so call ahead. Also Threshers has a huge mark up so buy carefully or you'll end up paying more than at a supermarket or other wine shop!

Trying tomorrow - according to Daily Mail last week, it is genuine and will be honoured up til 10/12/06.
However, I have also heard that they are selling out quick of the good stuff.
