My taurus just recently started leaking water/coolant from somewhere, right passenger side. It only leaks (i think) after I stop the car. Its not overheating per se, but may be running a little warmer than usual. Its running a little rough as well. I`ve had to fill my overflow tank twice in 2 weeks and the water/coolant leak seems to have gotten worse in the last few days...any ideas?

The overflow reservoirs on those cars develop leaks and need to be replaced. Do it soon because the last thing you want to do is overheat that engine - then it's a major headache and expense.

My first guess was water pump, but it's a 2004. How many miles does it have? If it has less than 60K to 70K you shouldn't be having waterpump problems.

If the car is still under waranty, take it in and have the water pump diagnosed. At any rate, have the repair completed before it gets warm again.

I'm sorry to say but it wont fix itself get someone who knows cars to look at it for you. Otherwise call some shops and see if they have time to give you a quick FREE inspection/estimate.Most will want you to leave it and pay a fee but you can find ones that will give it a quick looksie if not too busy.

It could be the water pump, or a hose has a crack in it. Hard to say.
