So I am in love with this guy named Danny. Danny currently lives in England, but he's moving here to New York in about five months. When he gets here, I'm going to tell him how I feel and start a relationship.
In the meantime, there's a guy named James who is pretty cute and lives in the same town...I was thinkin of just dating him for a while until Danny gets here.
Is that bad?

Date James. Danny is a Nigerian scammer who does not live in England and he has no intentions of moving to New York In five months or ever. Danny will carry on a nice chatty relationship and get you all twisted and drippy and then tell you he needs money to get to the States. Don't fall for it. His name is not even Danny.
If he has ever sent you any emails, do a search on some of the lines he wrote in the email. You will be surprised what comes up.

Think of how you would feel if someone did this to you. Then ask yourself that question. Then there is also the possibility that you could just talk to james and explain to him that you dont want any serious commitments. Just someone to hang out with. Who knows you may end up liking this second guy better than the first. And do you even know if this other guy wants to be with you? You could be missing out on a great guy.

I think it is bad, Especially if you deceive James, Be up front with him tell him your situation, He may just want to have fun, Ya can just do yas thing and be happy. I for one don't like to be taken for a fool.....I think you should also tell Danny....He might not ever want a relationship...

yes, what are u thinkin if this guy u think is just cute u go out with him and then when the man u wants come down u crush his heart he will feel hurt would u want someone to do that to u grow up

what comes around goes around!!! I think you should just tell James that you are dating and not looking for anything serious. Therefore, nothing will be a surprise to him when it hits the fan. Then you won't feel bad if he does something nice for you.

i dont feel it is fair to use James. How would you feel if someone did that to you? Also , if you really love this guy, then why would you want to be with anyone else?

its not okay to use him. it is okay to tell him you are not looking for something serious and would like to date casually with him. tell him what you just told the internet, there's someone else, but i am not dating them currently, if you wanna date for fun until then, i would like that. if not i completely understand and am sorry.
