A holiday won't make it any better. From the way you're asking it seems as if you don't want to be alone for the holidays. I know when you've been in something soo long it seems natural. But what is not natural is being unhappy due to someone else, and really is a tree, some carolers, or a present gonna make it better. I think not, so do what's best for you, save yourself the time, the extra pain, and move on. Let that be your christmas present to you. You giving yourself Peace-piece of mind that is. Good Luck

I think if you are asking the question than it's probably time to call it quits. Doesn't matter the reason, you obviously aren't as into it as you used to be...so move on. As far as before or after the holidays. I was always bad about thinking "It's a bad time to break-up with him...it's xmas, he's been stressed, he just got over a cold...whatever" What I found is that there is never a GOOD time to break up. So just get it over with and you will feel better...xmas or not.

when you have had enough then it is time to let it go no matter what is coming up holiday or birthday. life will still go on even though it hurts the other person life still goes on
when i got fed up with being with this person i had to let it go and yes people talked me into giving the person another chance but after a wile i had to start think bout me and how i was hurting the person even more by dating them than by being friends with them. i mean because i did not want to be in a relationship with them i did not want to be around them so it would hurt their feelings by me staying with them.
so when it is done there is nothing you can do about it some people are just in your life for a little wile and then you got to let them go and move on be friend but move on

If you have to ask when the best time to break up with someone, then you should break up right when you start asking yourself that question. No point in keeping the relationship going if your not happy and leading him on. Doesn't matter when you break up with him he will have a broken heart no matter when you decide to break up with him.

I would say call it quits right away. But it is eazsier to say that then to actually do it.
If you do it before the holidays you do save money on a Christmas gift.

The holidays will eventually pass. It is better to do it before, unless you are wiling to "act" during them, or you just want a gift. You will be better off.

If you are already here, asking that question, just go to him, and tell him that it's over, don't wait, that would be wrong, just get up right now, and tell him, don't wait.
Good luck with this.

Time of year shouldn't matter...don't drag it out if you KNOW it's over...don't waste your time or his...this life is too short to stick together when the romance is gone and there's no hope of gettin' it back...
