Pit Bulls are great dogs and it is ignorant that people unfairly judge them. It is the people that raise and train the dogs to behave that way that should be punished. The Pit Bull that I have now was my brother's dog. I got him the dog when he was diagnosed with a very rare cancer. My brother suffered unbelievably and through it all my brother's dog. a full blooded Pit Bull stayed with him, and gave him comfort that no one else could. That dog never ever left his side not even in the worst of times. Right to the end he stayed with him and mourned unbelievably when my brother past away. He also adores my Lab, which is a lot younger than he and the Lab terrorizes him constantly. There is not one aggressive bone in his body. And it angers me when people unfairly and ignorantly judge him or any other Pit Bull.

I love them! My boyfriend and I have two dogs, and one is a pitbull and one is an English Mastiff. Our pitbull is a raised as a pampered little baby and that is how she acts. She gets emotional and very lovey dovey. When I got our E. Mastiff she was kind to him and she was a year old then! People do not understand its the same with dogs and humans - you learn what you live, and live what you learn. If you are brought up evil you will have anger and be aggressive; however, if you are brought up kind you will show kindness. Most people don't understand that you have to keep an eye on any animal around children and strangers. I think that Chows are way more aggressive than pitbulls but you never hear about that!

I own a pitbull who is now 2 1/2 and he is great with people just not other dogs so it is hard to take him for walks. The reason he is like this is because his parents were both fighting dogs. When he was a pup I tried to always have him around other dogs just to get him used to it but eventually I started noticing him become more aggressive so I had to stop. I dont think there was much I could do to prevent it but I did try. I love him and would not trade him for the world, I just have to try and work around his issues.

I LOVE my bullie!!!! People are so easily led by the media hype, instead of educating themselves. Number one--they are not actually pitbulls! They are Bull Terriers. Any breed can fight and be called a "pit" dog, and unfortunately, many do.
Bull terriers were bred\created to protect farmers from being hurt working with their bulls, for boar and bear hunting. It is in their breeding to be animal-aggressive, but NOT human aggressive! It was during the machine age that sick, bored individuals started fighting dogs for amusement & money. People should blame the twisted natures of humanity, not dog breeds. No dog is born mean!
Raise a dog with love, it will be a loving pet. Raise a dog with a fist or kick, it may retaliate--even though very few do. This applies to ANY breed.
You go girl! Punish the deed, not the breed, is my motto also! (So is dumb people should be sterilized!)

i had a pitbull when i was 3 or 4 and she was really nice but yes people are breeding them for aggression and it gives the dog a horrible reputation. however even though mine was really nice towards us and my family she was a little hostile towards small animals but for the most of it its the people who let the bad ones out and they end up attacked children and old people

specific. I agree that an animal is basically as sturdy as its proprietor. The pitbull is familiar to be a loving dogs, particularly with infants. the undertaking is, whilst they do chunk it quite is plenty worse than a typical dogs's chunk as a results of fact of their efficient locking jaws. this provides them a bad recognition alongside with the undeniable fact that maximum of human beings choose to reproduce them to combat and be violent. all and sundry is ignorant and purely hear what they choose to take heed to. in the event that they knew the entire tale those animals does no longer have this form of terrible recognition.

some of them are nice but all the ones i know are mean, my sister used to have a pitbull and that one was really nice i think it depends on the bloodline if the family is really nice then they are really nice. It all depends on how you treat them

you know, thats so right. its the way the owners are raising the dog and if there treating them bad or being mean to the dog then the dog will learn from them being like that

Pit bulls are sweethearts. They have a bad rep because of dope dealers and the like.
