Presenteeism refering to comming to work sick. The study suggests that is actually costs employers more money in lost productivity than it would just taking a sick day.

Are you a presentee or do you take a sick day not only for yourself, but so you dont get your co-workers sick as well. My take on it is; stay home, I dont want it, I dont need to take it home to my family. Keep it to yourself. I agree with the study, you are no where near as effective when sick as when your well.

I suppose it's one of the most selfish things u can do.

the usual term share and share alike just don't apply to germs !!

there is also the fact that different people are affected differently by the same germ/virus. u may be just about o.k. but the other poor fella is off for a fortnight !!

i know that when i travel on the train or bus i often encounter people coughing and sneezing. it does spread diseases and i have fallen victim to this.

i do not appreciate people giving me their germs !! I sometimes feel quite cross with them. It really is quite irresponsible to travel on public transport in that state. do u agree ?

good luck

we don't get sick days, if you call in sick the time is used against you and you don't get paid, what choice do we really have. if I had paid sick days I would use them.
