i've never been in a relationship. I've never even kissed a guy! Is this unusual? I have this really close group of about 10 friends and probably six or seven of them have never kissed a guy either. but then there's the others who have had sex, etc. Im just wondering if its really unsual to be my age and never kissed a guy before, or been in a relationship. help!

No it is not unusual and you shouldn't think it is! You should move at your own pace and not feel pressured about what everyone else is doing (cliche response, I know...) Sincce your closest friends are in the same boat, then you should feel comfortable. I didn't kiss a guy until my senior year in HS and all my friends had already, so I felt kinda awkward, but then I was glad I waited to find someone I really liked instead of just pushing it to fit in with them. I'm in college now, and it's so different. In college you seem to define who you are, and so maybe if you haven't been in a relationship yet, the first one you have may be in college and will actually be serious, and you will truly be yourself, and not acting as so many people do in HS, because they are pressured... etc. Hope this helps a bit, but don't stress about it, you are just waiting for the right person! =)

Yes, it's unusual, but refreshing to know there's still young adults out there who don't rush into relationships too quickly. Just remember, once you give it up, you can NEVER get it back, so continue being choosy. It's to your benefit that you do. And tell your friends to hang in there too. When it's time, then work on the relationship part (more than the sex). It's the relationship that matters. I didn't kiss a guy until I was almost 18. It was very unusual in those days too. But, it's okay to hold out for something much better. You & your friends deserve it. I salute all of you for waiting...from one who didn't...and wished she had. <*)))><

No, it's not unsual at all - there are a lot of girls your age who have never had a boyfriend, or even kissed a guy - so don't worry about it! and don't rush into a relationship just because you think "everybody else is doing it" - wait until the time is right for you and you are sure you're ready!

i don't think it's unusual because when you get to college it's not going to matter anyway. Your time will come. I've been in a relationship but I've never been kissed and I'm in college and I'm fine college life is a lot of fun. Don't worry about it.

From what i know about what goes on with teens it is not unusal. some just never had that kind of interest in their peers but some have. and it is ok. me being a college grad; going to college str8 out of HS, i met some people who had never done a thing in their life until they went to college, so if you i were i would not be surprised if do a lot of things u have never done. But that is not to say that you are going to do them but just make yourself aware that anything can happen

well most people that i know get kissed before they graduate high school but its not a big deal. Im a freshman in college right now and trust me you it won't be hard for you to get into a relationship once u get here.

It is not unusual and, trust me, when you get to college you will more than make up for lost time. That's part of the college experience. Don't forget to study though!!!!!!

I don't think it's hugely strange. I think your situation is much better than the other posts on here like the 15 year old who have had 7 partners by now. Yikes.

no don't worry about it. i have many friends who are like that. just wait till u find the right person. there is no age limit where u have to have alreayd made out with someone or have sex with someone. when the time is right. it'll come.
