It's me and my boyfriends first Christmas, were going to his mamas and my house to watch our family open presents we got for them.
How should be and him spend our first Christmas though? I sorta want it to be just me and him but I don't know when I get time or place would be. How have y'all spend your first Christmas with your b/f or g/f?
Serious answers, Just want suggestions! Thanks everyone! =)

It will be important if your serious about him to spend that first Christmas together with the family so theyn don't think your being standoffish or distant. The same may go for your family with him being there. It may not be just about how you want to spend the day if your going to be together. You can split half the day between the two families and explain the situation so they understand. Then if in the future you decide to just be alone at least you and both families will know what its like to be in the presence of one another and the tradition of both families and won't feel like either of you are avoiding family time.

I'd sit and talk to him about this in a casual way. Let him know you'd like some private time with him while your with his family. Maybe you can end the night early or go in later. I've never been away from my family for c-mas, only for Thanksgiving. I'd never leave my family for a bf. He'd have to be my fiance or husband - no matter how much I loved him, that's just me. He could come with me to my family's place but I wouldn't miss out on mine until he was officially and legally (or almost) a part of mine. good luck!

Do the present thing still so your familys wont feel all left out, and then slip off to go for a walk, pick somewhere nice like a park, or something. I did this and it was so romantic, we walked hand in hand by a pond that had started to freeze over.

Christmas is a family affair, so I think you are doing the right thing by going to see your family.
If you spend Christmas on your own, you are going to upset both your parents and his. Your parents will blame him (and you don't want them to get a bad impression of him, do you?), and his parents will blame you (ditto).
Sorry, but it's one of those "duty" things!

I usually just spent the morning until dinner with my own family, and after dinner I go out and take her out. Usually since I'm low on cash for the holidays I just take her for a walk in the park. She loves it. I don't know about you though. If I have enough money I'll take her out to eat.
