one of my friends was pure preasured to do drugs last year and he got hooked to them but he wants to quit so he told the people were he was buyin them from that he isnt gonna buy them anymore . well they got really mad and they said there going to kill him my freind caries a poket knife auround just in case but this is a big group of people what should i do ..i love him i dont want anything to happen to him

You have a situation here. Your freind would die anyway if he continued his affair with drugs, or if he stopped, the big gang of people would kill him, that sounds more like a threat that would not be actually carried out. But taking no chances, you may have to take a few bold steps to really really help him out. You must inform his parents/family, telling them everything you know. Get him into a rehab, counseling etc, which I am sure they would if they really wanted him out of it. As for the big gang, inform the cops. There is no other way out. I cannot think of any other way, because I am sure you cannot do this alone. You will need his family's help, and you have to help your freind out of this situation. If you do not want the cops in the picture, and your worried that that may make them come behind you later on, you could simply help your freind, with his parents/family's help too, to a far off place, to a new place where he could be treated, and be safe from this gang, and the bad influence.
Anyway, take the first step. Inform the concerned people, help him get treated, and always stand by him. Its easy to say, but I know it must be a tough situation for you. But you have to do all that to get him out of there, and bring him back to normal, with a normal healthy life.

Ask him to attend an NA Narcatics Annonomous meeting with you. He needs to make new associations, new friends, new beginnings. Alot of people may say they are going to quit but until they actually get real and walk away from ALL of it, they are just talking.
I understand that you love him and all, I'd just like to say I highly recommend that you get all the knowledge you can about drugs, and addiction. I highly recommend you attend a ALAnon meeting its for people who are involved with drug and alcohol abusers.
Ground your self and get really prepared for the unknown, unexpected and get REAL about what it is you want in life. He may also need some professional counseling and as much as you may want to take on this rescue position, it is not good for you, or for him. Love him from a safe distance and let him figure most of his short comings out on his own.

You are right...This is the matter life and death, so no other way to save him must ask help from all sources he have. For instance His parents, relatives and get police too.
Coz without He goin` to police, his life in danger also, so no different at all, in fact this is quite a big group of peole too.
Ask for custody program, and he willing to testify against them.
I do believe, this is the only way to save him, they will not stop to chase him, they regarded as a threat, must be eliminated.
He must fight for his life, not running away. Good Luck

Well, he already screwed up. He shouldn't have told them, he should have just stopped buying.
The boy better learn to carry pepper spray. A knife is pretty much useless unless you've had a bit of training in proper grips and strikes. Plus its probably a crappy $10 knife that would snap in a real fight.

Yes, your friend is definitely in danger. Get your friend into a rehab program. It might be a good idea for him to move to a different neighborhood. Tell your friend's parents; they'll want to protect him. And call the police, like others have said.

First of all, inform the police of this matter....threatening someone's life is NOT the answer here.....he needs protection....just being curious, why do the dealers want to kill him...did he owe them?....no offense, but where I come from if someone quits using and dont visit their dealer's homes, the dealers usually keep their mouths shut.....UNLESS....they are owed....good luck on this.....

first f all u shouldnt be doing drugs they terrorised my family when i was 11 and im basically scared for life but you know the people who want to kill him have so much anger stuck inside of them that they have to take it out on someone so you should protect him by helping him deal with the drug issue and help solve the problem witht he peoplpe who want to kill him

Well my friend! only you can help yourself no one else. I suggest the parents know this situation immediately. Get a group discussion with and call the police. And please tell your friend to throw the knife away it wont help. Go to the police immediately. Its your duty to help the police catch those criminals. And don't worry everything will be fine but don't just sit around please...
