I'm Canadian, and I support illegal immigration because immigration is restricted only for xenophobia, to not let the face of the U.S. or Canada change too fast. The labour market has decided that the Mexican illegals should work in the U.S., and they should be allowed to do so unless the English language becomes threatened. Call me a bleeding heart, but economic migration is one of the best ways to alleviate poverty in the world.
What is "illegal" anyways. Well, in 1776, the whole U.S. was quite illegal, so some laws shouldn't be respected, should they?

I'm totally against illegal immigration.
From my experience, most supporters are on or more of the below:
-An immigrant with friends or family that are illegals.
-Have grown up around illegals and use them for illegal labor.
-Are upper middle class or rich people whom have decided to stand up for a cause ... illegals. Most have had very little contact with illegals.

Fiesty Redhead--How can you support ammnesty, and not illegal immigration. If they are here illegally, then it's illegal. That's like saying, i support the death penalty for people who killed only after 1999, not before. How stupid is that?

A majority of people who come here do so to help their families eat. To help someone who needs medical attention etc. etc.. Yes I do know that there are some that come here for other reasons, and who come and rape and murder and what not, but guess what - we have people who are american citizens that also rape murder and so on.
If the roles were reversed and I had to do something to take care of my family - to make sure they had food on their tables, and to make money so that my son (who had surgery at 6 months, and will be having another at around 3-4 yrs) could have his surgery and paying $6000 dollars to get here, and risk my life in the desert to do this, then I would, without a thought.

Other Hispanics do for obvious reasons. Hispanic politicians do because it will increase their voting base.

i love everyone expect for those that rape, murder and commit feloneous behaviors be it white, black, hispanic. we are all humans. lets see how you would feel if you were on the other side of the fence and you were an illegal. i got assualted and it wasnt by no damn illegal so thats not who i have the problem with.
