Do you mean the formula in words? that would be copper (II) sulfate pentahydrate. The (II) means the copper has two valence electrons. hydrate means water and penta means there is 5 water molecules in the hydrated salt. So CuSO4 - 5H20 means that for every copper (II) sulfate molecule, there are 5 water molecules in the solution.
