Ever since I've been working my guts out at the gym the past 3 months I've noticed that my sweat drenched clothes reak with a strong vinegar type of stench, and its vile. It's so embarrassing too, but is this normal? I know sweat isn't supposed to smell of roses, but the smell is pretty strong and I've never experienced it before, I hope its changes over time.

Hey,
If Excessive sweating is your problem you'll find here vert good tips: http://hyperhidrosis.toptips.org

About 2% to 3% of the general population experience excessive sweating a condition called hyperhidrosis which can occur with or without a trigger. The most common type is called primary (or focal) hyperhidrosis and it has no known cause, although it seems to run in families. You may have a different type of excessive sweating called secondary (or generalized) hyperhidrosis.
This means that your symptoms may be due to an underlying medical condition or disease (e.g., nerve damage or a hormone disorder), or due to a side effect of a medication you are taking. Talk to your doctor.

you need to drink lots of water and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Eating lots of food that are strong/pungent/ processed will cause your bodily fluids to smell. Notice the colour of your urine for example, is it yellow instead of a pale yellow or colourless. if its dark, it means you need to drink more water to purify your bodily fluids. Eat less processed foods, from cans etc, and make it fresh. Sometimes, deodorants can intensify the smell of your perspiration. Some contain alcohol and others don't. You need to experiment and see which ones work with your natural bodily smell, and which ones don't. I find that something like Mitchum which is supposed to be a very high protective deodorant, tends to turn against my bodily smells when i use it for long. I now discovered that a good, cheap anti-perspirant works very well if not better than leading brands. Your perspiration should not reek, the general rule is that perspiration only smells when in contact with bacteria, but as if said, what you eat, also plays a part.

well from what i know sweat can smell like anything, but that doesn't sound normal to smell like vinegar. You should go to a Doctor and check it out just to be on the safe side. but, hey good job with working out ... all that sweating will pay off. ha,ha keep up the good work and defiantly go to the doctors and get that smell checked out.

you're sweating out extra salts and minerals inclusive of your sweat. Your physique has purely rememberd a thank you to sweat, and is extra effective at it. inspite of the undeniable fact that, you will have purely eaten some pungent nutrition- maybe a curry or chili, or something with somewhat some garlic?

If you wash regularly and use deodrant then no you shouldnt smell after a work out. Sweat starts to smell when it gets stale beacasue of the bacteria, so no, fresh sweat doesnt smell, only old sweat.
Its possible something to do with what you eat, or your ill? i would check it out with the doctor.
