I am starting IVF meds Monday (Lupron) I started taking Birth Control Pills about 2 weeks ago..my ovaries hurt like I ovuated..Is that okay or will it mess things up? Or will my fertility meds make me ovualte again anyway??

The medication that you are on will make your body feel more different than normal. You may or may not have ovulated. The BC pills should have stopped that.

Once you start your shots you definitely will produce new eggs for retreival. Your doc will monitor you very closely by ultrasound and blood work of the next 7 to 10 days. He/She would tell you if there was a problem.

It sounds pretty normal. All the hormones used in IVF do a number on your body. While it is possible you ovulated, the pain may be just follicles being stimulated, or the tissue around the ovaries being stressed due to the hormones injected.

When you are on an IVF cycle you should have constant contact with the Dr. If you are concerned, check with him/her.

IVF meds are supposed to make you ovulate and release more than one egg.
